Had a great time filming with Director Nicholas Corrao, actors Jay Jurden and Amanda Shaw. The adventure began with a flight to Birmingham Alabama then a car ride Tuscaloosa. Being a born and bread a Gator fan I was behind enemy lines and had a great time in town. We shot most of the film in three locations and two days. The opening sequence of the film was done in the basement of Mallet, a student resident hall. Mallet Assembly is a group of “unconventional thinkers and idiosyncratic personalities.” I loved them. During time off Nicolas, Amanda and I hung out at a few locations around town for tasty food and good beer. Some favorite hot spots were Mr. Chen’s Authentic Cooking (Chinese food) and Druid City Brewing (Craft Brewery). We had only on issue and that was we battled the sounds from the Tuscaloosa Krispy Kreme Challenge. What is the Tuscaloosa Krispy Kreme Challenge you ask… it is an eat a dozen donuts then run or walk a mile. Yeah, no thanks. We wrapped Sunday morning then Nicholas and Amanda took me back to Birmingham for my return flight but not before a stop at Good People Brewery for a tour and tasting.
Had a lot of fun on this project. Lets see where it goes!
