Whirlwind of a shoot. I booked the job on Sunday and started shooting on Monday in Jacksonville. The shoot was for the Band Darkhaus, an Intercontinental Synth-Rock band consisting of guys from Scotland, USA, Germany and Austria. I worked with the Cordero Brothers, Vicenete directed and his brother Fernando was the Cinematographer One of the band members converted his house to match the artwork from their album cover. Our scenes were both inside and outside of his house. This shoot came with some great stories, one of them being that in a motel room rented for filming ended up having a forgotten dime bag of meth or crack or something. The baggie was blue so I thought instantly of Breaking Bad and Heisenberg. Do those drugs even come in a “dime” bag? We also had to get one of the band members piano out in to the lawn which meant carrying it down about 5 steps and across a grass lawn. The shot was beautiful and worth the work.
The band was present as we shot. I had a blast hanging with them as well as our make-up artist Georgette Pressler who showed off some of her work. She gets hired to do some super high scale body art and creature makeup.
Thanks Darkhaus for putting your faith in my work. I look forward to seeing the music video and following your World Wide Success!
